About Greenacres

Greenacres is a spectacular 6-bedroom period home in Disley, Peak District. This 5-star property sits in a quiet part of the village with jaw-dropping views across the valley to Lyme Park. Just 35 minutes from Manchester but feels a million miles from city life. Greenacres offers that perfect mix of countryside calm with easy access to everything.

The location is bloody brilliant. Walk 0.25 miles to Disley village for pubs and shops. Lyme Park is just 2 miles away - perfect for walking off that Sunday roast. The Middlewood Way offers fantastic cycling and Disley Golf Course is literally stumbling distance. Perfect for active families who still want their creature comforts. After a day exploring, sink into the hot tub with a glass of something cold. You've earned it.

The accommodation is massive. Six bedrooms sleep 12 people comfortably - one four-poster super-king (sexy!), one king-size, two doubles and two twin rooms with 2'6" singles. Three bathrooms (one en-suite) all have underfloor heating. Downstairs features a main lounge with wood burner, garden room with TV, games room with pool table and a library hall when you need some peace.

Nearby attractions include National Trust's Lyme Park (2 miles, 5 minutes) with its grand house and deer park. Manchester city centre (14 miles, 35 minutes) offers shopping and nightlife. Local escape rooms provide indoor fun (3 miles, 10 minutes). Disley Golf Course (0.5 miles, 2 minutes) welcomes visitors year-round.

We had such a lovely stay at Greenacres! The hosts, Kath and Ivan, are genuinely warm and attentive, making us feel really welcome. The house itself is beautifully kept and in a perfect spot for exploring - the views are breathtaking! They provided all the info we needed and checked in regularly, which was really reassuring. We’re already thinking about coming back this summer to enjoy more of the outdoor spaces and those stunning walks nearby. Absolutely recommend!

We recently held my grandma’s 70th birthday at Greenacres and it was just lovely. The views are truly stunningand it caters well to all ages. The older ladies enjoyed relaxing in the conservatory, while the kids had a great time playing pool and exploring the garden. The hot tub was a big hit too. Kath and Ivor were fantastic hosts - couldn’t do enough for us. Just a heads-up: pack your slippers and dressing gown if you stay. We felt really cared for!

Honestly, you need to stay here to really get how lovely this place is! We brought the whole family, three generationsand everyone loved it. It’s in a perfect spot for exploring, yet big enough to find your own quiet space. Kath and Ivan are fantastic hosts-by far the friendliest we've come across in all our holiday cottage trips. They really go above and beyond. We’re already planning our next visit, can’t wait to return! It’s a good place, for sure.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house itself is gorgeousand the location is just perfect, nestled on a quiet lane near the village. The views are absolutely stunning and never get old. The facilities were spot onand we appreciated the thoughtful welcome basket. Ivan and Kath were lovely hosts-friendly, helpful, but never overbearing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. All in all, a really lovely experience that we'd definitely recommend!
