The Parlour is a stunning conversion of an original dairy, which has been transformed into a fantastic holiday retreat set in a peaceful location on the edge of the village of Brede. The owner has incorporated many of the original beams which have been lovingly restored, combined with many contemporary features giving The Parlour both character and a luxurious, modern style. The location is excellent for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside and the nearby coastline. Rye is only seven miles away - with its many antique shops, cafes and restaurants and the golden seven mile long beach at Camber is an easy drive. A short walk takes you to two village pubs and the views from the farm drive - on the way to one of the pubs - is spectacular.

The Parlour Reviews

Janine
What a great place the Parlour is, everything you could want and very spacious with three ensuite bedrooms. Very big garden with chickens at the bottom and you can buy their eggs! Mark & Hannah are great hosts and very friendly. The Red Lion is the local pub and their Sunday roasts are very good!
CHRIS
A lovely cottage in a fantastic location. Well appointed with three very comfortable bedrooms. Lovely large garden which our two year old grandson loved running around in, especially visiting the chickens. Local Pub, The Red Lion, very close, offering great food and local Ales. Beautiful place to stay with the owners very welcoming and reactive to minor problems we had. Thanks for a great stay!!
Louise
Fabulous cottage - luxury stay - great views and location (for visiting the gardens of Kent (& the great village pub!) ) Highly recommend ⭐
Samantha
Lovely location with south facing garden to enjoy afternoon and evening sun on the patio. Great for 3 generation family holiday as all bedrooms had en-suite bathroom, so all had own space. Comfortable base for lots of days out.
Clive
Well a bit of a disaster on the first day as the boiler had broken down before our arrival. However the plumber was there working on the boiler with Mark the owner when we arrived, diagnosed and part ordered. Over the next two days Mark popped around to make sure we were alright and supplied two electric heaters as well as offering the use of a shower in the adjoining property. You can't ask for more than that and shows what a good host he was. The house is well laid out with three double bedrooms and the beds were so comfy. Loved the shower in our room. The dining room table accommodated the five of us easily and then we lounged out on the settees. Outside there is a table and chairs for Al fresco dining too bitter to sit out there at the beginning of the week, but did sit there towards the end as the weather warmed up. Nicely positioned for touring the area. Thank you Mark and Hannah for being great hosts.
Kevin
The Parlour is set in a lovely location in beautifully kept grounds. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and catered for all our needs, it is very warm and cosy. The local Pub which is so close serves an excellent meal in a very friendly atmosphere.
Jennie
Really lovely cottage in a good location, lots of things to do nearby and a great pub within walking distance. We all had a great week.
Lyndsay

We really enjoyed our stay at The Parlour. It is a lovely, spacious cottage in a beautiful location. The garden was very pretty and our grandchildren loved the large lawn which provided a perfect space for them. It was high up with lovely views from the access road. We would certainly come again.
Jeanne
Lovely quiet location, good links to Rye, Hastings and pretty villages nearby. Cottage very clean and well appointed.
Michael
Lovely property in a lovely quiet location, owner very helpful and friendly would recommend for a quiet stay within reach of several places to visit. A nice pub in village with great food highly recommended.
