The kitchen/diner is also a great place to enjoy mealtimes, with a dining table and a breakfast bar to recount the day's adventures. Soak up the rays in the enclosed garden; here you can while away the hours on the bistro dining set with a glass of wine in hand. Please note the garden areas separate to the patio are uneven. As the evening draws to a close, retire inside and opt for a rinse in the ground-floor shower room or venture upstairs to the bathroom, which features a freestanding bath for a moment of relaxation. The ground floor also houses a twin bedroom. The first-floor hosts three delightful bedrooms to rest your head, with a Kingsize and a TV and an ensuite shower room, a further Kingsize, and a triple bedroom, all with bedside cabinets to place a hot chocolate and good book. Begin your day with a home-cooked breakfast and you can make use of the utility room to freshen your clothes. Weymouth Beach is the perfect place to enjoy the stunning views of the Jurassic Coast, with its colourful beach huts and boats bobbing in the water. Take a stroll along the esplanade to Greenhill Gardens in one direction and Weymouth town and Harbour in the other, before heading to The George Bar and Grill for a delicious meal. For a refreshing cup of coffee, head to Suttons Coffee Shop, where you can watch the world go by. Visit the ancient town of Dorchester, home to several attractions including the Dorset Museum, Maiden Castle, and Hardy's Cottage. Dorchester is the perfect place to explore the history and culture of England. Further afield is the town of Bridport, which offers a variety of interesting attractions for a day filled with fun. The Bridport Museum is a great place to learn about the town's past, while Thorncombe Beacon is a beautiful spot for a hike or picnic. The White Cottage Reviews

Highly recommend White Cottage. Plenty of space for 9 adults and dogs too. A home from home. Joy was a brilliant host. Close to the beach 15 min walk and the old harbour. Was clean and tidy and had everything needed to make our Christmas get together a special one.
Our second stay at The White Cottage. So nice not to have to move the car for the whole week which saved over 100 in parking fees. The house is only 12 a mile walk from the Esplanade. Totally enclosed small garden, ideal for the dog. 4 bedrroms in total with 2 doubles, one with ensuite. A Tesco Express is 5 minute walk away and various convenience stores on route from the beach. The owner is very welcoming and happy to assist with any problems, for instance, I was locked out one afternoon and she arrived in 15 minutes to save me.
Lovely holiday cottage. Very close to weymouth, with the benefit of off street parking. Close ro lovely villages. Very comfortable inside with everything you would need.
Excellent holiday home, clean tidy and all the little added extras really made it special. Great location, plenty of space for two cars. We had a wonderful family holiday and cant wait for next year! Thank you to the wonderful property owner
We have just come back from holidaying at the white cottage Weymouth, we had a lovely stay as a family ranging from 20y to 78y and a dog, it was very spacious and comfortable and in a great location, the welcome pack it was much appreciated thank you. we loved everything about the house and would definitely stay again. The only thing I couldn't find was a broom to sweep the kitchen floor so I used the hoover lol.

We had a wonderful week in Weymouth in The White Cottage. The welcome tray was amazing.thank you. We made good use of the small garden as the weather was perfect, we had a barbecue one evening for all 9 of us. It was a squeeze in the kitchen area to comfortably seat us all especially with 6.2 foot teenage boys so we tended to breakfast in shifts. The quickest route to walk to the seafront took us through a scruffy area which wasnt pleasant but we enjoyed all Weymouth had to offer. Our family over from Sweden loved the traditional English food.fish and chips, a full English, a Sunday roast and a cream tea!
Great stay in Weymouth at the White Cottage. The house was immaculate and everything we needed was there. Many thanks to Joy for the extra touches especially some mini eggs as it was Easter. The house is very convenient to the beach, harbour and some great restaurants. If we come to Weymouth again we would definitely stay here.
Sharon
An excellent family holiday home, with all you need for a relaxing time at the seaside. Very well situated in a quiet area but only 5 mins to Esplanade. Amazing welcome tray. Enclosed garden for peace of mind with dog and small children. Comfortable and peaceful place to stay.
Lovely house with fast wifi which is essential to us. Water pressure is a little low but that was our only grumble. The place is roomy, every bedroom is large, as is the family bathroom. Ensuite in the back bedroom and another shower room downstairs. We loved the luxury bath towels and welcome touches in the kitchen. The owner left us a welcome card an phoned to ensure everything was going to plan. The house is a mile from the beach with a direct pathway straight to the clock tower on the promenade. The totally enclosed garden is ideal for our dog. Would we stay again YES
We were a family of nine. We had a lovely holiday at The White Cottage. There was plenty of room, the house was nice and clean and well equipped. The location is perfect for the beach about a 1015 minute walk. There is a garden which was very handy for drying the washing and nice enough to sit in. The kitchen is a good size, we managed to sit all nine of us around the table but there is also a breakfast bar and a couple of stools. The owner popped over to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us her details if there were any problems. We would definitely return as it suited us very well
My family and I had a lovely week staying at The White Cottage. There was a nice welcome tray with tea, coffee and biscuits waiting for us on arrival. Milk and juice in the fridge...a generous touch from Joy the owner. The house had everything we needed and all the rooms were a generous size. The garden was good for the grandchildren to play in and well secured. Location was good and within easy walking distance to the beach and promenade.
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at theWhite Cottage, facilities were great, and due to its location, saved a fortune in car parking, as it was just a short walk to the main Clocktower, so the car stayed at the cottage, only one day of rain out of the 2 weeks we stayed, made all the difference with 2 full weekends, but even then it was too short, always more to do. Special mention to JOY who was our link between SYKES the property managers, she was amazing, our every need was anticipated and catered for, her name says it all, Id be happy to stay anywhere with someone like her overseeing the holiday. Thank you for a great family holiday.
We had a wonderful time. Very spacious and comfortable. Great enclosed garden, close to amenities. Thank you
Joanne
A fantastic stay. Very comfortable beds! My aunt would have liked to have taken hers home along with the duvet. Lovely secure garden for the dogs. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Far exceeded our expectations and we hope to return!
Lovely large house. Ideal for families easy into town and nearby shops are great. We would stay here again if need be. Owner was in touch to offer support if needed and left some much needed and tasty provision's to get us off to a great start for our holiday. Great memories have been made here.
First class from comfortable beds, plenty of space, excellent kitchen and utensils. Its been done to a very high standard. Also very good to be able to park your car outside the front door and not have to carry everything from up the road. Highly recommended
Amanda
Very well presented holiday home. Lots of space for a large family. Situated in a quiet area of the town, but close enough to walk. Very near to lots of local attractions. Would recommend to friends and family.
The welcome pack was exceptional. Organic milk in fridge. Mince pies, box of chocolates, Christmas tree up. Coffee, tea, sugar. Washing up sponge, cloth, liquid Best beds for comfort and slept well I never usually sleep well when away. Everything we needed, even flannels put out nice extra. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of cups, glasses, plates. Very modern and well laid out. Everything you need and super comfortable. Thank you for a lovely stay, will definitely return
Deborah
Lovely house well equipped and clean. Had a great stay and property owner provided extra touches for Christmas which we all enjoyed especially my granddaughters. Would stay here again .
Enjoyed our stay, Lovely house spacious bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, biscuits and refreshments for when we arrived, which was lovely. Had a couple of requests for maintenance dealt with in less than an hour, nothing to much trouble, only thing I would say is seating in kitchen could be better, very basic, but this may be due to being able to take dogs, close to beach and several supermarkets.
We had a lovely stay at the White Cottage. The owner does go above and beyond for her guests. We were holidaying with our 18th month old granddaughter and we found there wasnt a stair gate. I contacted the owner and she immediately went out and purchased one and brought it straight round to the cottage. There was also an excellent welcome pack which essentials you would need. The cottage itself is very comfortable and well stocked with plates, cups and glasses. We were a group of 10 and never found we were short of anything, including plastic plates and cups for the children. Thank you, great stay.
We loved the White Cottage. It was very clean and comfortable and only a short walk to the Esplanade, bars, etc. The ensuite toilet didn't always flush sufficiently and I found it difficult to regulate the temperature in the ensuite shower. However, we had a lovely weekend and would recommend this accommodation to others.

The Property was very nice, the owner was very helpful. she left information we might require for the holiday also a welcome pack of food and milk ,and juice in the fridge. The cottage was very clean . I think they are in process of improving the back garden re the lawn. and planter. We were approx 20mins walk to the Beach. which was amazing! Weymouth. Thank you.
House was clean well equiped and ideal for our needs. The owner Joy sorted some maintence issues quickly and efficiently, and was kind enough to even post on to us some precious teddy's left by the children..However garden area could do with some TLC. Joy was a joy!

We have just returned from a stay at the White Cottage. We had 4 adults and 3 children in our party and there was more than enough space within the house. The house was light, spacious and had all of the home comforts. The cleanliness of the house was excellent and there was a lovely welcome pack left for us. The owner came to say hello and was available by telephone or text message if needed. The house is about a 10 minute walk from Weymouth front and has great access to the big supermarkets on the Dorcester Road Morrisons, Sainsburys, Lidl and Aldi which are all within a 25 minute drive. We had some lovely days out and went to Ringstead Beach, which is a pebble beach but lovely and quiet. Nothe Fort is a great half day adventure and Portland is beautiful. For the best fish and chips head to Bennetts by the harbour!!! All in all a fabulous holiday and a great house to stay in. We will definitely be back!
We felt the location of the property was not as good as previous ones in prior years
The welcome phone callpackcard from Joy the owner were a lovely touch to be welcomed with. .The property was very comfortable and ideal for our needs, with 89 year old with mobility issues.. The downstairs bedroombathroom were just what we needed.. Would have no hesitation in booking again, and look forward to returning..
The White Cottage was a great place for a winter week away. It was big enough for our two families, the teenagers being able to have space away from the adults. The house was immaculately clean, with everything we needed. The utility room was fabulous for coats, boots and storage. The fully enclosed garden was excellent for our dog, who could sniff around completely safely. It was an easy 1015 minute to walk to the beach front from the house if you cut though the estate by the train station. We enjoyed the harbour area with many good pubs and places to eat. Thank you Joy for the lovely welcome pack and bring on hand to ask any questions.
Lovely house very spacious and comfortable with a secure garden for the dog! . The welcome pack was a hit too! Thank you.
Joy was really nice and came to see that we were ok and gave us some nice gifts and valuable information on local walks
We stayed in The White Cottage with 2 adults and 6 teenagers. It was lovely to find a box of biscuits, tea, milk, sugar and coffee when we arrived, not that the biscuits lasted long! Great layout of rooms for our needs and really comfortable beds. No pressure on getting everyone through showersbaths with three bathrooms and the laundry room was really useful. Lovely decor throughout, very new and fresh. There were ample good quality towels and crockery, cutlery, glasses, saucepans etc. I did call to report that the larger frying pan wasnt induction hob compatible and the lovely owner Joy came round just a few hours later with two new ones. Excellent service. If you have dog with you, the garden is completely enclosed and dog safe. Our group of 15 and 17 year olds were able to walk into town and to the beach quickly and felt safe coming back after dark. They enjoyed the independence and found lots to do in Weymouth from snorkelling to SUP, the beach, the funfair and pitch and puttmini golf. We enjoyed them being independent! Thank you, we very much enjoyed our stay.
We had a very enjoyable stay at the White Cottage. It had everything we needed and more! The rooms are all great sizes and comfortable. There was a travel cot and high chair which wasnt in the listing, this was useful as we had a little one. The kitchen was well equipped. The garden does need some TLC but it didnt matter to us. We would definitely book again if we were holidaying in Weymouth.
Such a beautiful holiday house but severely let down by the garden. Its like a prison yard with unsafe slabs and no interest in it at all. The house however is great, once inside its quiet, comfortable and well appointed. Beds are lovely, rooms spacious and most things new. Cooker very difficult to work out and use so after first night we ate out. Nice welcome to have tea and biscuits. Great location for town and ok parking. Area not the best but a good base if garden was better loved.

Recent paintingdecorations left some surface dust on carpets, otherwise was very nice. Garden could do with some work as was full of stinging nettles and brambles so our child couldn't use the garden. Front bedroom roller blind didn't work and ensuite shower temperature wouldn't regulate. Other than small minor issues a very nice stay with a fairly close walk to beach and shops.
