Cherry Tree Cottage, Chesterfield

Absolutely lovely stay. We were welcomed with a card and chocolates which just added to the gorgeous cottage. Very cosy and clean and offered everything you require for a lovely stay. Dog friendly with many beautiful walks five minutes from the accommodation.

We had such a great stay, we had communication throughout in regards to how to access the property and keys. Upon arrival, the fire was on and a lovely extra touch with a Christmas tree in the living area. Although we took our own, there was tea and coffee available along with soap and shower gel available in toilets and shower. The accommodation was very clean and included lots of instructions on how to use things we couldnt recommend enough and would definitely stay here again!

Generally excellent. There was nothing to fault with the accommodation itself, but we did encounter a couple of minor issues. Parking for our Volvo XC90 was a bit tight, and fitting two cars would have been challenging. Other reviews mentioned a welcome pack, but there was nothing left for us on this occasion. There were no instructions provided for the TVs, the electric logburnereffect fire we still havent worked out if it can be used, the heating or hot water system, the cooker, or the jacuzzi we couldnt figure out how to turn the lights off. There were also no instructions on recycling requirements or what to do on departure regarding bedding and towels.

Lovely cottage furnished to a high standard. Hot tub was lovely. Great stay away from home. Would highly recommend.

Recently had a lovely holiday in Cherry Tree cottage with our four legged friend. Lovely comfortable accommodation, very good location, very good base for Lovely walks. Very clean and well equipped. Very nice pub a few minutes walk, though you may need a torch as road not lit. Lovely jacuzzi with good views

We had the most amazing time at Cherry Tree Cottage the location was perfect for travelling round the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales. The Red Lion pub is dog friendly and only a short walk away which was perfect! The house is very clean, well equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was great clean and well kept. We will definitely be back

Had a fantastic stay at Cherry Tree Cottage, the cottage had everything we needed and more, on arrival we had complimentary scones and jams which went down really well with all of us! the location of the cottage is great, a farm shop and a lovely restaurant within walking distance, lots of access to nice walks, and a short drive away from a lot of the great things the Peak District has to offer.

Cherry Tree Cottage is absolutely stunning. It has been furnished to a very high standard. The furniture is comfortable and everything is spotlessly clean. There is everything you could want here and if you have any questions the owners are on hand and happy to help.Thank you for the welcome pack the scones were delicious!!! The hot tub is superb and is very welcome after a days walking and the views to die for. The only fly in the ointment for me, we had our dogs with us and there is only the front garden to the property which is not enclosed and the road it is on is a 60mph speed so we couldnt leave the door open for fear of them getting out onto the road. I also didnt like the road noise when we were sat in the garden trying to relax but that is a personal thing! We just want peace and quiet on holiday. But taking these points into consideration I would highly recommend this cottage.

Wow, well what can I say. Cherry Tree Cottage was an amazing place to stay. Spotlessly clean. The furnishings and equipment in this home were outstanding. Everything you could think of and more. Well thought of and laid out. The sofas were so comfy, the washing machine and dishwasher were quiet and easy to use. The upstairs shower room was more than adequate and the towels and robes were fluffy and beautifully set on the luxurious bed lined in the huge upstairs bedroom. The hot tub was an added luxury and a lovely way to finish the day. Extras included sliders for the hot tub, powder for the washing machine and everything you could think of in the kitchen. Andy the owner popped over to change batteries in the TV remote and nothing was too much trouble. Although the garden is not enclosed it did not spoil our holiday. This is by far the best ever property we have booked, I would highly recommend it. A lovely touch to find, fresh orange juice, milk, butter, jam and scones which were delicious on our arrival. We had a great stay at Cherry Tree Cottage. The facilities were great and the owners have thought of every little thing that you need. I go OTT when I pack and some of the things I didnt need as the property had them. Really enjoyed the use of the hot tub. The only thing that was a slight issue was the stairgate that we requested, we didnt realise that it wasnt a fixed safety gate until on the day when we received a message from the owner that it wasnt fixed its to stop dogs going upstairs. Perhaps the advert could be amended slightly to make this clear and not include the stairgate in the offer of a cot and highchair for children.

We were very impressed with the cottage. Comfortable, spotlessly clean and decorated to a high standard, it had everything we needed and more. Cuckoos calling morning and evening fabulous. The only concern we had is that the cottage is on a very busy, very fast road and there is no gate to the property which if you have brought your dog could be an issue. For that reason we didn't sit outside. Great location for the many beautiful walks in the Peak District.

Our 2 night stay at Cherry Tree Cottage was absolutely fantastic. The cottage has had so much thought and care put into every element of the decor and facilities by its owners. The location is excellent, sat directly between a wonderful restaurant and a sweet little farm shop tea room. Both of which we had excellent meals at. I could not rate the cottage highly enough and would certainly recommend to anyone looking for something in this area and hope to make a return visit ourselves.

We had a lovely stay at The Cherry Tree Cottage, it was perfect for exploring the Peak District and having a relaxing week! We especially enjoyed the scones on arrival! The facilities were great and the hot tub was a treat! We werent aware on booking that pets werent allowed upstairs which my dog isnt used to but we managed, but I think it would be useful for this to be on the booking for those furry friends that would struggle with this! Also would recommend a Welcome Pack to be left detailing check in, check out requirements, hot tub instructions, and possibly some local information just to really improve the stay!

Absolutely loved our stay at cherry tree cottage, we were staying with our toddler and there were some toys and crayons left which was handy. The cottage was decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch, very festive. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we might need as well as essentials like salt, pepper, cooking oil, coffee tea etc, there was also enough dishwasher tablets for our stay which is good as usually there is only one supplied. The hosts even supplied plastic cupsdishesplates and cutlery for our little one. The cottage itself is very lovely and has been done to a high spec, everything looked brand new. My only point to note is that the property is directly on an A road which we didnt realise when booking and the gate was not secure enough for our dog as she is only small and could get underneath so we had to careful. It was fine though we just made sure she was always on the lead even in the garden. Will be returning next year!

Just returned home after a 3 night stay at cherry tree holiday cottage. It was absolutely spotless, equipped with everything you could possibly need. Lovely & modern and the extras were such a lovely touch for example the hot tub sliders, pet blankets and treats, the scones were amazing and also the milk & juice in the fridge ready for our arrival. Thankyou for a fantastic stay, we will definitely be back in the future!

We had a lovely stay at Cherry Tree cottage following a hectic two weeks in Florida. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing break, its very much a home away from home. A lovely touch with the fresh milk, orange and scones from the owner too! Very spacious, excellent facilities and the under cover hot tub in December was very much welcomed! Would definitely stay again.

What an absolute gem of a cottage. Spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. There were so many little details that really made our break a true home from home. The welcome pack was very well thoughtout and the homemade scones were beautiful. The owners live next door and were very helpful when needed but were not intrusive. We will certainly recommend the property and would return without hesitation. It's a 10 from us.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming cottage that truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the picturesque surroundings approaching the cottage and the warm, inviting atmosphere of the cottage made it feel like a home away from home. The kitchen is wellequipped, making it easy to prepare meals with fresh, local ingredients from nearby markets. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable, adorned with soft linens and cozy throws. Waking up in such a serene environment was a luxury, and each morning felt like a refreshing retreat. The host was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They had thoughtfully prepared a welcome basket filled with slippers for the hot tub and robes to wear, they also had treats for the dog in a jar with his name on it which was a delightful touch. The level of detail and care put into the stay truly made a difference. Overall, our experience at this beautiful cottage near the Peak District was nothing short of magical. Whether youre looking to escape for a romantic getaway, or a solo retreat, this cottage has it all. I cannot recommend it highly enough its a perfect blend of comfort, beauty, and adventure. We left feeling recharged and inspired, already planning our next visit!

An Absolute Dream of a Cottage. Weve just had the most relaxing holiday at Cherry Tree Cottage. The cottage is furnished to an extremely high standard and is just so lovely! Everything and anything you could possibly need or wish for is provided. On arrival we briefly met Andy the owner who greeted us warmly, and once entering the cottage we noticed refreshments had been left for us, milk, juice, bottled water and home made scones with a dish of butter and jars of jam, a welcome and lovely gesture. The hot tub was fabulous, we purposely went in it late afternoons as it started to get dark and the view was breathtaking and listening to the wildlife, owls in particular was just wonderful. We would definitely like to return and recommend Cherry Tree Cottage 100.

We had an amazing stay here at this beautiful little cottage. Perfect for our chilled out holiday with some absolutely amazing dog walks on the doorstep. Really helpful hosts with any issues we encountered.

Beautiful, relaxing stay. Only negative was there was no terrestrial TV, which was disappointing seeing as you are in the property in the evenings due to the location of the property.

Hi Andy and Clare, I'd like to start off by saying what a wonderful cottage you have with great facilities and immaculately presented, we throughly enjoyed are stay and would return without hesitation. Just a few observations, we would of been more at ease if the front gate which is leading on to a busy road would of had some mesh along the lower sections, also on arrival we didn't realise, as it was not stated on description that the TV didn't come with any freeview, although this may seem a minor, for us who spend the evening's indoors with the dogs is a major, I just want to finish off by saying the hot tub was amazing and a welcome addition after long walks with the dogs, Thank you.
