Lovely house, very clean and welcoming. The welcome hamper was a lovely gesture. I would recommend this house. However we had a little miscommunication on the Sunday morning when the cleaners turned up and said we should of checked out. We booked a Friday to Monday break. I would definitely go back there though

High Peak Retreat is in a good location for trips out. Two supermarkets nearby which helps. The property itself is well appointed with a great addition of a hot tub and a games room. Kitchen well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine. Off street parking for one car as the garage is actually the games room. You can park outside the property on the road. Couple of negatives the blinds in the bedrooms are quite thin and don't block out much light, which was a bit of an issue as a street light was by the bedroom. Video doorbell and garden video camera did feel intrusive not sure if we were being watched. However on the whole it was a good place to stay as a base to explore.
