Located near Ashover village, you're perfectly positioned to explore the Peak District. Fancy a day out? Chatsworth House is a short drive away, or visit the Heights of Abraham for spectacular views. The fully equipped private gym means you can work off that pub lunch from the local village (just 1.7 miles away). Or don't - we won't judge. You're on holiday after all!

The accommodation is beautifully appointed with an open-plan living space featuring a smart kitchen, dining area and comfy sitting area with Smart TVs. Choose between a super-king bedroom with en-suite shower or a versatile twin room (which can become another super-king). We had a wonderful stay at Moor Farm Cottage. The cottage exceeded our expectations, there really wasn't anything more we could have asked for. We made sure to take advantage of the hot tube and the BBQ. It might be worth including in the booking info for guests to bring charcoal to be able to use the BBQ. My only other suggestion is to be maybe include a warning in the booklet about the shower temperature which gets incredibly hot if someone accidentally uses a tap whilst someone is in the shower! Andrew was really helpful with giving tips on local pubs and restaurants. From his recommendations we had a lovely meal at Kelstedges Inn and Kathmandu Gurka. Moor Farm Cottage was a perfect base to explore the Peaks and all it has to offer. Would highly recommend!

The welcome pack was great, and the breakfast hamper was very good value for money. The produce from a local shop was brilliant and prompted a visit to buy more from there. All the facilities in the accommodation were of a very high standard and so comfortable. The gym was very well equipped with firstclass machines, and the hot tub was so good at the end of a day out. The leaflets provided great ideas of places to visit, and there was plenty to see and do nearby.. All in all a great place to stay.

What a gorgeous holiday cottage and a fantastic holiday from start to finish. The provision of flowers and a welcome pack, and the information provided personally by the owner on arrival was superb. As was the breakfast package that we had ordered before our arrival. The accommodation is lovely with all the home comforts that we could wish for and the bonus of a hot tub and gym. Comfortable beds, a well appointed kitchen, dining area and living space. The outside areas are excellent and we were very lucky with the weather, so made the most of the excellent outdoor furniture. There are also some lovely countryside walks that start from the door of the cottage Although it is a steep climb back from the village. We asked the owners for some advice about the local area and took advantage of this to visit the excellent Old Poets Corner Pub for some very nice beers and ciders, and the Ashover Farm shop for some lovely local produce to enjoy a meal prepared by ourselves in the cottage on our last evening. We would definitely recommend this property for a stay in this lovely part of the world, and would love to return for another holiday in the future.
My sister and I recently returned from 5 days at Moor Farm Cottage, it was absolutely fabulous! Weve stayed in quite a few holiday cottages but this has to be the best. The setting is fantastic, we really enjoyed the outside space with a huge hot tub and quality sun loungers. The inside of the cottage was brilliant, both large bedrooms had really comfortable beds. The two bathrooms were a real bonus and very luxurious. Every part of the cottage was spacious with every amenity you could think of, from the array of kitchen utensils to the complementary body puffs, the owners have thought of everything. We will definitely be back to Moor Farm Cottage and have already recommended it to friends and family. Thank you to Andrew for such a warm welcome and a great holiday venue.
Really well appointed cottage with real attention to detail and quality . The fresh flowers were a lovely touch as was the welcome pack of local items. All of the rooms were really spacious . The cottage itself is well placed for all the locations we wanted to visit. Plenty of places to eat nearby .
We were looking for a last minute stay and we totally lucked out with Andrew and Lesleys property. My husband didnt want to travel far due to health reasons, so we wanted a hot tub and some countryside and we got that in abundance. Our host, Andy, met us on arrival and gave us a comprehensive run down, which really helped. The property is stunning and literally had everything you needed. Our card, flowers and hamper were a lovely touch and really made us feel welcome and we had the opportunity to have a breakfast hamper too, which was locally sourced and delicious. The beds were so comfy, the hot tub was amazing and the views were absolutely stunning. We lucked out with the weather too. Thank you for your hospitality. We highly recommend your property.

A beautiful cottage surrounded by peaceful countryside, perfect for a relaxing break but within easy driving distance to towns & restaurants. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the owners obviously took great pride in it as their attention to detail was evident. The outside spaces included lots of seating & a large hot tub. There was also a lovely welcome pack and we certainly made the most of all the goodies inside. We stay in a lot of cottages in England and this is certainly up there as one of the best. Honestly couldnt fault anything & the hosts were attendant & friendly. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a lovely stay. The cottage is spacious, modern and wellmaintained and the owners clearly go out of their way to make every stay as good as they can. There were a couple of features that didn't quite work for us. There is a lovely rustic table in the dining area, but it's not ideal for those with severe food allergies. Bright automatic lights in the hall made it challenging with young children. The view from the back was beautiful.
A beautifully decorated and maintained cottage, the owners have thought of every little thing to make it a homefromhome stay with added luxuries throughout. Clean, comfortable and so well equipped with lovely views from the little garden. We didnt feel the need to even venture out much as our two young boys loved being there so much. We hope to be able to book again in the summer months.
A lovely cottage, warm, clean, comfortable and very well furnished and equipped. The hot tub was an added plus. The location is great. We visited Bakewell, Matlock, The Great British Car Journey, Cromford Mills, Blue John Cavern all within easy reach. The owners have gone the extra mile to provide everything needed we always take a box full of essentials e.g. cling, tin foil, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, salt and pepper.. but didn't need any of them. We will return, maybe next time when the weather is a bit warmer!

The property exceeded our expectations. It was in an ideal location for visiting Matlock, Bakewell and Chatsworth and for walking in the Peak District. The cottage was warm, very clean and well furnished. It had everything you needed for a comfortable break with lots of little luxurious touches, plus a lovely hot tub. The owners were very welcoming and the welcome and breakfast hampers were great . Lots of places to buy and eat delicious food. We would highly recommend it for a stay in this area.

We had a fabulous stay at the Moor farm cottage. Andrew was kind enough to greet us on our arrival late in the night and gave us a complete tour of the house, gave us good local recommendations and shared the experience of building the cottage. The place has more than everything one needs during a holiday. Its very tastefully done. We used the hot tub everyday. We will surely be coming back.

We had a lovely stay at Moor Farm Cottage, it is furnished to a high standard and was extremely clean. We have stayed in many cottages and lodges but this is the first time where there was just everything you could think of it was very well equipped. Welcome pack was lovely all local goodies. Hot tub was great, there was a very well equipped gym for your use which was a bonus. Cottage is in a good location not far to nearby towns. Would love to return, thank you for a lovely stay. Amazing stay, from the minute Andrew met us to show us around. It was my daughters birthday the following day, banners and balloons welcomed us alongside a beautiful welcome pack, stunning flowers and an incredible courtyard where you can see the most beautiful sunsets would highly recommend to anyone else thinking of going. Gorgeous cottage. A real modern homely feel. Everything you could wantneed catered for, great host, lovely extra touches on arrival. Clean, quiet, fantastic scenery and cottage, chairs and hot tub positioned perfectly to allow you to be able to enjoy this with a chance to sit out front to watch the sunrise and sitting in the hot tub or at the table out the back allows you to watch the gorgeous sun set in this idyllic countryside location. Had an amazing few days and would highly recommend.

We were met on arrival by one of the owners who showed us around and explained everything and was also contactable for any queries. The cottage was much bigger than it looked online. Very comfortable and we would definitely recommend. The hot tub and gym were great. Local area was beautiful and Matlock only approx a 15 minute drive away.

Wow, what a lovely cottage. We were welcomed to the property and showed around by Andrew, the welcome pack of chocolates, coffee, tea and fresh flowers were a lovely touch. The local farm breakfast pack of sausages, eggs, bacon, hash brown, mushrooms, tomatoes apple juice, oatcakes, milk ensured the Saturday started off well. We made use of the hot tub on three occasions, despite the wind and rain and it was great. The gym was also used over the weekend and this is a lovely addition to the cottage. Plenty of places locally to eat out and the food was lovely. We ate at the Black Swan in Ashover and The Kelstege Inn. What an amazing property, would thoroughly recommend this to anyone wanting to have a relaxing break away. Thank you Andrew and Lesley

We had the most wonderful week long stay at this beautiful cottage for our annual girlie getaway. The cottage itself is spacious, spotlessly clean and very well appointed, the owners have literally thought of everything you could possibly want or need to make your stay perfect!! Well located and the hot tub was sublime especially in the snow after a long day shopping at Christmas market. Andrew and Lesley are very friendly and attentive hosts nothing too much trouble.
