What a fabulous place to spend Christmas. The cottage was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well equipped. Christina and Austin had decorated the cottage beautifully and kindly left us some Christmas treats, which was unexpected but very much appreciated. We would love to return in the summer to explore the area further and make better use of the hot tub.

Wonderful stay. Host very accommodating. Place spotlessly clean and larger than I'd guessed from the photos which was a nice surprise! The recommended local pubseateries and walks were appreciated. Location great in the sense of feeling remote yet dinner out is on your doorstep! Locals throughout our stay we found to be super friendly, we enjoyed chatting away all week!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this fabulous place. Everything is 1010 .... the beautifully decorated and furnished cottage, its perfect location, friendly donkeys and lovely owners. The local area is full of friendly shops and pubs and so many places an easy drive. We would love to stay again!!

What can I say except perfect. Had the most incredible stay the house its self is beautiful theres a telescope to look at the stars. The house was so clean and there is a hot tub and bbq perfect for summer. Two donkeys come and say hello at the fence everyday theyre super friendly and the owners themselves were lovely. I would 100 recommend this stay to everyone, there are some nice places to eat around and everyone in the village was so friendly. Deffo get booking!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is well located, well equipped and beautifully decorated. The owners were approachable and helpful. The only criticism would be that the upstairs and bedroom in particular requires air conditioning.

Fantastic cottage with fabulous views across chapel En Le Frith and the peaks beyond, we spent many hours taking in the views over a glass of wine. Great location to the town too, only a few minutes walk to 4 or 5 pubs and many lovely restaurants and takeaways. Walton house cottage is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and has everything you could ever need for a very comfortable stay. They have thought of everything and have lots of nice little extra touches like dressing gowns and slippers. We were made very welcome by the lovely owners who went above and beyond, one evening even collecting a Chinese take away for us. We would thoroughly recommend Walton house cottage and will definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely trip. Xx

Such a beautiful property! Unfortunately within minutes of arriving I had to leave my partner there and drive 5 hours to my parents as my Mother was taken seriously unwell. Without a car at the property, the owners offered and took my partner to the station the next day so that he could make his way home. Thank you so much for your help! It is very much appreciated. Walton House cottage is a lovely place to stay, a real home from home, so comfortable and relaxing. It is in a great position, giving easy access to a wide range of fantastic walks in the beautiful national park.

14th21st June 2024 We can not find any faults at all with this cottage. Its beautiful, spacious, comfortable and so clean. Spectacular views, and the friendly donkeys Snuggles and Humphrey were a joy to see over the fence every morning. Several pubs in walking distance, and plenty to see and do in the area. We went to Matlock, Bakewell, Holmfirth Vineyard for a tour, wine tasting and afternoon tea, and a beautiful place called Ashford in the water, where we had a lovely lunch. Lots of photo opportunities to be had in all these places. We met Christina the owner who was just lovely and while she went on holiday with her family, her Mum and Dad were on hand should we of had any issues which we didnt. We had a fantastic stay in this lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Really impressed with the extras provided dressing gowns, slippers, lots of towels and kitchen extras coffee machine and pods, teacoffeehot chocolate and dishwasher and washing machine. The bottle of prosecco was much appreciated when relaxing in the hot tub! Spotlessly clean with lovely decor and very comfortable bed. Beautiful views from the lounge and friendly donkeys in the field to top it all off.
