A lovely little cottage, generally well equipped. We found the sofa too low! The hot tub was lovely. It would be good to have a toilet roll holder fixed to the wall in the bathroom. According to the guest book, the owners always left a bottle of wine for guests so we were disappointed not to get one!

A great little cottage perfect for 2 guests in a picturesque location with lovely walks into Matlock. The bed was very comfy and the hot tub fab! Unfortunately we couldnt use the log burner when it was cooler on our last night as the lighters were both empty and we dont smoke so had nothing else to use! A small table for outdoor dining would be good too. Definitely recommend to others and we would return too!

The property was immaculate inside and out. So there's not much more to say. The only two criticisms would be, the freezer was frosted up so much that the draws were near on impossible to open so perhaps the last occupier should turn off the fridge freezer as they leave. . And perhaps a safety grab rail in the shower cubicle would be helpful.

Wonderful stay, the cottage was beautiful and very clean, it felt so homely and cosy. The location was perfect, within walking distance along a nice riverside path into Matlock but in a quiet, peaceful spot in the countryside. We especially loved sitting in the hot tub which was one of the best standards of 2person hot tub we have seen and looking out onto the view of the fields, everything had been well thought out with the the patio sitting area and the privacy wall. Also the large reserved parking space was a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend The Bottling Shed!

It is a lovely cottage and location. The kitchen was a little small, even for two, but come prepared it will be a great place to stay. If you are over 6ft by a significant amount, the lounge area may be challenging, but the rest is not a problem. Overall, it is a great place to stay, and I would recommend it.

Fantastic weekend at a beautiful cottage. Property was clean, as described, and the bonus of a hot tub & log burner was wonderful to help relax. Only tiny piece of constructive feedback I can give is that the mattress on the bed wasn't the comfiest, and could probably do with replacing.

The Bottling Shed has everything you need for your stay and we were even greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine and biscuits. The views are amazing and it is so peaceful and quiet. A fantastic stay in a beautiful, homely cottage We loved our 5night stay at The Bottling Shed and would highly recommended for your next mini break. Perfectly located, in peaceful surroundings, around 5 minutes from Matlock and Matlock Bath. The countryside views were wonderful and the welcome treats were much appreciated. The inside of the cottage was open plan and very cosy complete with log burner and central heating. The seasonal Christmas decorations were a lovely touch. The private walled courtyard, complete with hot tub and patio area was a great place to relax. By car, we visited Bakewell and Haddon Hall which were under 20 minutes away. The beautiful Monsal trail with Chee Dale stepping stones are only 25 minutes away. We saw Ashbourne, Milldale village and Dovedale which were around 30 minutes away. Further afield, we got to Hope Valley within 40 minutes which includes Bamford Edge, Ladybower reservoir and Derwent Dam. There are two supermarkets only 5 minutes away by car M&S and Sainsburys. We had some great food in the Peak District. Wed highly recommend Lovage in Bakewell, The Duncombe Arms in Ashbourne, The Bulls Head in Holymoorside and The Bluebell in South Wingfield. Matlock Bath has several fish and chip shops and The Seafood Cave & Grill. We also ate at The Fishpond while there. For brunchlunch and a sweet treat, Butter Fingers in Matlock was amazing! Thanks so much for a lovely minibreak.

Lovely little cosy cottage to stay in, with great views & it's so peaceful & quiet. Thoroughly enjoyed the relaxation in the hot tub, especially in the dark evenings, with the lights on. Even though the cottage is pretty small, it seems to have everything you need.

Lovely little property, very quiet location. Well equipped although nowhere to dry wet towels & hot tub costumes, small airer in bathroom which we moved outside. No windows in bathroom so nothing dries unless you put the radiator on, ok for winter but not in warmer weather. Could do with a clothes airer for outside. No hot tub towels be useful on website if this was specified so guests know to bring their own. Stripped bed on last day as requested, took the mattress protector off & there is a huge, absolutely disgusting stain in the middle of the mattress this is unacceptable & should be changed IMMEDIATELY!

Stayed at the bottling Shed for 3 nights and it was brilliant, just what we needed, the place is lovely and has everything you need, very clean and the hot tub was clean and private. The location is great, it's secluded and private and only a few miles from shops and restaurants in Matlock. We really enjoyed staying here and would deffinetly return.
