We loved our recent week at Bradley Hall. A quirky comfortable house with lovely outside space to relax and eat in, 2 pubs within easy walking distance and masses of great places to explore. Derbyshire much prettier than we'd imagined, and hilly!

Overall the holiday was great. This primarily due to the area, the weather, the local pubs. (I will have to add that the staff In both pubs were very welcoming and the food was great, seperate reviews done). Bradley hall is everything as advertised, a period house with flagstone floors and creaky boards furnished with all the equipment needed. The garden is glorious it is obvious that time and money has been spent recently. The hot tub was used every day and the outside dining table. I was delighted to have the umbrella up for the shade.Hate to.put any negatives in but it has to.be balance I suppose.Cleanliness (dust in corners and plugs in sinks) was an issue, bedding didnt fit one of the beds. Parking very restricting for unloading and loading.Would have been perfect if there was a games room.

An imposing old house in a picturesque village well-located for many Peak District sights. The house was well equipped, with a newly refreshed garden area - although on the week we were there, the weather was not quite good enough to make full use of the hot-tub, pizza oven and BBQs. The beds were very comfortable (and the upstairs floors were very creaky!). Our only criticism is that the lounge seating is a bit of a squeeze for 8 adults and the entrance to the parking is very narrow (but there is other parking nearby for those less confident in the width of their car). Overall, we had a great week celebrating a 60th wedding anniversary in fine style.
