Beautiful traditional old cottage with all mod cons.Nicely located just off the main thoroghfare of the town and easy to walk to bars and restaurants. Parking is a bit of an issue but we found solutions throughout our stay, mainly finding a space on Back Lane most days.Communication was thorough prior to arrival and was also followed up post-arrival to make sure everything was ok.The welcome gift hamper was a lovely surprise..Beds are comfy, lovely bathroom decor with a free standing bath and a nice powerful rain shower. The kitchen had everything we needed including a huge fridge.Hot tub was worth paying the extra for after some tiring days out walking.

A lovely cottage in a great town. The cottage is well equipped and the furnishings are high quality.Kitchen is a great family space and a lovely little space that housed our dog crate.Lovely hamper left for us and eggs, milk and juice in the fridge.Love the duck theme throughout.Hot tub was a great bonus and worth the extra spend.Holmfirth is a great town and loads of places to eat and drink. The lady who manages the property, Michelle, was fantastic at communicating with us before and during the stay. Even visited to help us with the hot tub.Only things I would say are potentially little bug bears but definitely can be lived with:- parking is a pain but nothing the owner can do about it and we managed to park on Back Lane each time - back gate is locked and it would have been great to have access to save taking dog through the house but I understand why they may lock it when it’s not always lived in.- kitchen is downstairs and has a door with a latch at top of stairs that can’t be closed when you are down there. A latch that works from both sides would be beneficial with a child and a dog. These two things would have meant the dog could stay downstairs the whole time.Overall a fantastic stay and would definitely consider going back!
